Almost 50 percent of all marriages end in divorce and Researchers estimate that 41 percent of all first marriages end in divorce. So about every 13 seconds, there is a divorce in America.
Why are people divorcing in the united states?
Lack of commitment is the most common reason given by divorcing couples according to a recent national survey. Here are the reasons were given and their percentages:
- Lack of commitment 73%
- Argue too much 56%
- Infidelity 55%
- Married too young 46%
- Unrealistic expectations 45%
- Lack of equality in the relationship 44%
- Lack of preparation for marriage 41%
- Abuse 25%
How does divorce affect the children? What are things we can do to help? Our talk today is going to be about divorce from a teen’s point of view. We’re going to hear directly from a teen about his thoughts, feelings, and triumphs.
Our guest is Lucas Kaitsas. He is 19 years old and currently attending El Camino College and a certified Physical Fitness Trainer. He comes from a family of 5 brothers and sisters & one stepsister. He has played soccer since I was 5 years old.
